Zing Zang Zoom

Two weekends in a row now we have had tickets to an event in Nashville. This weekend it is Ringling Brothers Circus, Zing Zang Zoom! If we showed up an hour early we could go down to the floor to clown school, so we made sure we were there on time!

Larry, the clown, needed Tyler to help him do a trick. Tyler put a small baseball in a cup and Larry was able to pull it from different places, until eventually he pulled out 2 big one from who knows where?
The boys weren't very keen on the clowns, but Tapanga didn't mind them.
Tanner, Tapanga, and Grandma did get a tattoo from this performer.
Mommy wanted to be included, my turn to meet a clown.
Tapanga was really into the circus, she really enjoyed watching the animals.
Tanner remembered these two ladies who got shot out of these cannons and flew through the air!
The elephants are always fun to watch, its amazing what they are able to do!
Tyler and Tanner really enjoyed the acts in the circus!
Tapanga enjoyed it as well, but sleep won over!
After the circus, we walked through downtown. Stopping to take a picture with the horse outside the Wildhorse! We then enjoyed a nice lunch at the Spaghetti Factory before heading home!

Silly Kids

I have posted before some of Tapanga's interesting sleeping positions. Here is another one, upstairs watching TV, Tapanga fell asleep, partially in her chair. Didn't look to comfortable, but she was!
Tanner and Tyler love olives...black ones anyways! So when we eat taco salad, they often enjoy eating every last one out of the can and sometimes they like to play with their food as they eat it!
Its rather interesting, but my friend Laura recently blogged about her children picking things up from TV. Then, not a couple days later Tanner comes running to me after watching a commercial saying, "Charlie Brown is now on DVD!" My reply, "Oh, really? OK." He runs off, then a couple minutes later comes back with, "Its fun for all ages!" Wow, he really is picking stuff up...I must watch out!

Ryans Birthday Party

We recently got to go to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate our friend Ryan's 3rd birthday. Thomas was probably as excited as the kids to go to Chuck E. Cheese, because he hadn't been in awhile. Its always nice to get together with our friends and today was another great day to do it!

Tapanga and Ryan wearing their Bolt party hats, ready to eat some pizza, then onto the cake!
I was alittle excited about playing and possibly winning Deal or No Deal!
Joy was much more mellow about playing...she could have won 80 tickets!
Ty Ty enjoyed playing the games.
As did Tanner.

Its amazing how fast our kids are growing! With Ryan turning 3, it means my baby girl Tapanga will be 3 before I know it!

Monster Jam

Saturday, January 16, 2010

The other night we were having dinner with my parents when Thomas mentioned the Monster truck rally coming this weekend. KG, I hear, started talking about it with mom the on the way home and the next thing I knew we had tickets!

We didn't tell the kids we were going, but yet Saturday morning Tanner brings it up. Asking if we could go to the Monster Jam. When asked where he heard about it his reply, "At daycare, Ms. Alesha was talking about it!" All day long he asked if we could go, so of course he was especially happy about going!

If you arrived 2 hours early you could go to the pit party, where you could meet the drivers and take pictures with the trucks. The first truck we came across, Just Get er Done, the boys were pretty excited about. Notice their Monster Truck shirts and cowboy boots!
Of course, Daddy was pretty excited about the truck show also, especially when he saw the dirt. The last one we went to didn't have dirt, that wasn't a Monster truck show!
Grandpa had to get in on the action and he was super excited!
I was there, with the crushed cars!
The Predator!!!
Pouncer
Look how big the truck is!
Time for some action!
Tyler was kicked back enjoying some Monster truck action!

Overall, we had a good time at the Monster Jam...the boys enjoyed watching the trucks especially the big boys...that's why you have kids or spoil grand kids right? So you can enjoy these type of events? :)

Snow Day

January 7, 2010
Snow days are one things teachers love to look forward to! So even though we just went back to school when the weather reports started calling for snow I was very excited! Going to bed last night our school system was not closed which meant I had to set the alarm clock and get up at 5 to check the weather report!

Schools closed! I got to sleep in till about 8 and soon after getting up this was the picture outside. Even though we didn't get as much as they were predicting it was still a nice picture!
I called to the kids to see if they wanted to go play in the dusting outside and Tyler and Tapanga jumped at the chance to play outside. Tanner on the other hand didn't want to go and so stayed inside.
Tapanga can be very particular sometimes, so I was really surprised she enjoyed playing in the snow so much! She had a good time playing with Tyler outside.
Tyler loved laying down in the snow and so Tapanga had to copy! The snow was very light and powdery, so Tyler liked to sprinkle it around and make it look like it was snowing some more. Tyler threw a snow patch at Tapanga and I thought she would get upset, but instead laughed and giggled as she ran from him!

Tyler and Tapanga enjoyed their few minutes outside in the snow and I enjoyed my snow day in my pj's!

Pizza Night

January 4, 2010

Thomas bought a pizza kit from someone at work, it was a fundraiser for some group. This is one of those fun fundraisers though, because we can get the kids involved in helping to make the pizzas. I really would like the kids to be interested in cooking so it is fun when we can involve the kids in meal preparation!
We invited Grammie and Grandpa over to enjoy in the pizzas with us and all of us enjoyed in 3 yummy pizzas!
