This time its from Thomas!

I got my hair cut today and then went to moms house for dinner. Thomas was to meet me there. When Thomas saw me he was shocked at how much shorter my hair was so much so he said, "(started very slowly) W.H.A.T t h e he** did you do to your hair!) I guess he was a little shocked, he doesn't normally react like that! After calming a little he said it was just so different and it would take some time getting use to! Heck even I would agree to that!

You can check out the haircut for yourself, the first picture was taken last weekend before the haircut and the second picture was the day of the haircut!

Meet Baby Jax

Jax Wesley Joiner was born December 4, 2010. When the baby was born we went to the hospital to share our congratulations. Relationships are still strained between us, but when situations warrant we are civil. My in-laws wanted to have a family gathering at Christmastime and so invited us all over for dinner, where we got to meet the baby for the first time. We had seen him at the hospital, but behind the glass.

The kids enjoyed holding him and looking at him. Depending on the moment determines how the kids answer the question to do you want a new baby? I don't know if Tapanga would be able to handle it, she is a little drama queen!

Tanners tooth

Tanner has had a wiggly tooth for a few weeks now. When I looked at the other day I noticed it was grey...must mean it is ready to come out! I tried pulling, Thomas tried pulling, but we just couldn't get a good grip on it.
I finally realized to grab a napkin and yank it out...and out it popped!
We have our first lost tooth!
I can't believe I was the one to get it out...it grossed me out, I have decided that it is now Thomas' job!
Of course, Tanner put the tooth under his pillow and the tooth fairy came and picked it up. In the tooths place she left a toothbrush and $5 with a note that basically said congratulations on losing your first tooth, for this first one you get $5, but each one after this is only $1...the tooth fairy is awfully nice!

Liberty Carnival

The boys school had a carnival planned for Friday night. It was also on this night when we had to pick up cookie dough if we had ordered any. We planned on attending the carnival, knowing that the kids would enjoy games and fun at their school at an off time. We invited Grammie and Grandpa to come along also and thought that we could go to dinner afterwards.

Tapanga and Tyler got their faces painted. All three decorated cupcakes and played games. They got to bounce away in the gym and the boys even got to try to beat each other up on one of the inflatables.

The kids had a lot of fun at the school carnival even though they could have organized it a little better. We are happy to support the school in many of there functions!

Some funnies from the last few days

Grandpa was in his bathroom when Tyler comes up to the door and knocks, "Grandpa, are you mowing your beard?" Grandpa laughed so hard he almost cut the entire thing off!

The other day, Thomas and I went to get the kids from daycare as we headed to moms house for dinner. We put the kids in the truck buckled them in and drove away, when all of a sudden Tyler says "Nobody buckled Tapanga in!" When Tapanga pipes up, "I'M HANGING ON TIGHT!"
