4th of July Party

Thomas loves the 4th of July. He loves to do fireworks and blow things up. Last year we didn't do much because we were living at my parents house still, but this year we were back to doing our 4th of July cookout! (Well sort of...the party was actually on the 1st, because Thomas and I were working the fireworks tent.)
The kids love to play together. Our friends the Richards, Nolans and Nelsons all came to help celebrate along with the parents and Aunt Martha and Mary Jane. The kids played with the wagon, on the trampoline, and in the house.
One of the great things about doing a cookout is the great food! Lots of wonderful to go around and even better desserts!Tanner is just like his daddy, loves fireworks and already wants to be a part of lighting them.
The kids wanted to see the fire trucks and race cars. After watching the little fireworks it was time for sparklers! Lots of sparklers! Thomas kept lighting and lighting, more and more. Around the second round of sparklers the kids thought it would be fun to relight the trucks and cars that had already been lit. We've got pyros!
Fireworks time...Michael came out to help light the fireworks and be a big kid with the other big kids! The kids sat and watched on the driveway for awhile, but eventually moved to the trampoline where they would watch and jump! They had a blast! (Tyler and Tapanga didn't like the noises so they ended up staying inside, but even they had fun!)

What fun! Thomas is already looking forward to next years party!
